The various expressways built in the southern part of Luzon have made it easier for people to travel between Metro Manila and Cavite, and Laguna. The expressways connect the different cities in these areas, so that residents can easily find their way to where they need to go. The increased mobility has also improved the lives of citizens who live in these areas, because they no longer have to spend too much time on their commutes. CAVITEX is one of Luzon’s significant expressways. As of March 2023, there had been news about the continuation of its construction.

CAVITEX C5 Link is a 7.7-kilometer segment of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX). It connects to the CAVITEX R1 Parañaque toll plaza, cutting travel time from CAVITEX to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay by 30 to 45 minutes while helping decongest EDSA, MIA Road and Roxas Boulevard. More than 50,000 motorists are expected to benefit from this project upon its completion in 2023.

Expansion of CAVITEX C5 link set for 2023

Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC) recently announced that it had tapped the services of a Chinese builder to put up the second segment linking the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) and C5 Road.

The company said that civil works for this CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 2 would start before the end of March with the target of opening it to motorists by the end of the year.

The Cavitex C5 Link, a 2×3 lane expressway that will run for at least 1.9 kilometers and connect Coastal Road from the Parañaque toll plaza to Sucat via R-1 Interchange, is set to open in April 2017. The project serves more than 16,000 vehicles daily and is expected to increase once the second phase of the CAVITEX C5 Link is completed. The CIC president and general manager said this segment of the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project is vital part of their initiative to improve road infrastructure in Metro Manila.

What can we expect from this set development?

The CAVITEX C5 Link seeks to shorten by 45 minutes the travel time from southern Metro Manila to Makati City and Taguig City. It extends for 7.7 kilometers and is projected to serve up to 40,000 motorists every day. Last year, CIC opened the first section of the project that stretches from Merville, Parañaque City to C5 Road, decongesting the service roads where motorists usually pass through to get to C5.

Aside from CAVITEX and its link to C5 Road, CIC’s parent company MPTC holds the concessions for other major expressways in the Philippines such as the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), NLEX Connector Road and Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

Importance of infrastructures in real estate

Infrastructures are the most important part of real estate. It is the infrastructure that makes a building or place a home. Without infrastructures, there would be no buildings, cities, or houses to live in. Infrastructures are necessary for the comfort and security of humans, animals and nature. They provide us with water, electricity, gas and other services that we need to live well.

The real estate industry is constantly evolving. With new technology, processes, and regulations being introduced to the field every day, it is important for professionals in the industry to keep up with these changes and implement them into their business practices.
